Anne Mepham is an evacuee bear. She is wearing her Sunday-best coat of pure wool, which is beautifully lined with faux suede and fastened with four vintage mother-of-pearl buttons. She is carrying her gas mask and identity label, as well as emergency instructions in case she gets into trouble. Anne is made from sandy coloured long pile mohair, she has black glass eyes and a matching hand-stitched nose, with wool felt paws that have had a little 'repair' on her travels. Her tummy is partly bean filled giving her a lovely weighty feel. Like all Canterbury Bears, she is fully jointed using hand-stamped wooden joints. Hand-made in England by Canterbury Bears.
