Canterbury Bears

Canterbury Bears are an independent family business, totally committed to the pursuit of excellence. The business was founded in 1979 and for over a quarter of a century the company has been excelling in the design and creation of fine collectable bears. They have worked with some of the best and most creative companies in the world including Disney, Orient Express, Harrods, Victoria and Albert Museum and Liberty. They have designed and made bears for HM Queen Elizabeth II Jubilee celebration, HM The Queen Mothers 80th Birthday and for Bill Clintons inauguration amongst others. Each and every bear is uniquely designed by Maude & John Blackburn in their workshops in a small village in the heart of Kent and it is from here that they send their bears to new homes all over the world. In 1987 they were granted the right to use the coats of arms of the City of Canterbury as their logo - a huge privilege. This ancient coat of arms is registered by the Garter King of Arms and is circa 11th Century. As bear specialists, Canterbury Bears have created one of the largest bear collections in the World. Their integrity is their customers' guarantee. Your bear is designed and hand made to last a lifetime and beyond.
